Bangle sizing, and how to measure at home
Bangles are sold by internal diameter in millimetres, not by a ring or bracelet size. The bangle has to pass over the knuckles of a closed hand, which is almost always wider than the wrist it ends up sitting on.
Measure it like this. Tuck your thumb into your palm as though you are putting a bangle on, then wrap a tape measure or a strip of paper around the widest part of that closed hand, across the knuckles. That circumference is the number that matters.

If you fall between sizes, go up. A bangle that will not clear the hand is useless, while a slightly loose one simply moves further up the forearm. What 925 sterling silver actually is

A cuff is worth understanding if you are between diameters. Because it is open at the back, it flexes slightly, so one cuff fits a wider range of wrists than a closed bangle can.

Stacking bangles
Bangles are the easiest piece to wear in multiples, and the arithmetic is simple. Three narrow bangles cost roughly what one wide one does and give you far more flexibility, because you can wear one, two or all three depending on the day.
